4th Cobra IronMan 70.3 Philippines

The 4th  Cobra Iron Man 70.3  Philippines was held in Mactan, Lapu-lapu City, Cebu. This is the 1st triathlon held in Cebu in open sea. Over 31 countries joined the race with 1700 participants including 1000 Filipinos and 700 foreigners. The said triathlon had three phases, the first phase was a swimming race and said to be the 1st time held in an open sea unlike the other triathlon which been held in a lake followed by the cycling race and lastly was the running race. It was an amazing race and a challenging one. The race was ruled by Jacobs who is an Australian with a great start and a nice ending of the race.

CITE Bloggers Workshop and Seminar

                 In CITE Computer Lab 104-B our workshop and seminar was held.It was a great experience for me as a beginner of this blogging thing.I had a great time and I learned new things about blogging and how to share it into other websites like Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter. I made also my blog about the "Ways of Enjoying the  Foundation Day".
                 Mr.Bernales teached us some pointers about the blogs and how to share it. He gave us a task and luckily, I'm one of the participants who made a blog about the Foundation Day of CITE and the winner will receive a five hundred pesos cash from Mr.Bernales.I just pray that I'm the one who will win the cash prize..

Ways to Enjoy the Foundation Day

            In the 14^th day of February the CITE Technical Institute will be having a Foundation Day in the school campus with many activities and surprises. One way of enjoying it is to participate the activities that will be organize by the school clubs like INCITE, you can join there Spelling Bee Contest and Oration or in Bloggers Club that you will be writing an essay about the foundation day and the “Hire a Photo Blogger”. I know u want to hear music!right?there will be a “Bandslam”too, the battle of the best band in our school and don't underestimate the singing skills of our students in the “Birit King ”. There will be also an exhibit of paintings and sketches by the Pallete Club, I'm one of the member so you can also see my painting or sketch if you want to see it or buy it, all the paintings in the exhibit is for sale, if you want to buy you can buy it and you can take pictures if you want a souvenir of the event and you can bring all your friends even if they are outsiders.

            I only mention a few ways of enjoying the event but there are many ways in enjoying it,just experience all the mesmerizing and fantastic activities. You cannot experience this kind of event in any places or schools. I know you will enjoy the Foundation Day. So don't miss it..!!SEE YEAH..!!!

Survival of the New Leaders of CITE

The leadership seminar was held at OK Coral,Busay on January 28-29,2012.It was fun seeing the participants get along with each other,it was a nice experience for me.They have been teach to be bold and brave to all the things they in-counter in the classroom.

They watch a movie "Brave Heart" while drinking a hot cup of coffee.In the other day they climb the Mt.Kan-irag with Mr.Barlas and me.We have a great time hiking to the top of the mountain.It's OK for us that we get many scratches in our body because we reach the mountain peek.The view of the Cebu City,Mandaue City and Lapu-lapu City was mesmerizing and i took a picture of it.Lesson learned:"Every hard or tough way you encounter you will find the thing you dream of in the end.....".

DOTA!!!!!

Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) is a real-time strategic game the Warcraft III:Reign of Chaos and Warcraft III:The Frozen throne and based on the map "Aeon Strife"of Starcraft. In this game the objective of its team is destroy the opponents Ancients,heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map.In this game each player has a powerful units known as heroes, and assisted by other heroes and the AI-summoning units known as "creeps".In this strategic game each player must level up their heroes and gain gold to buy equipment that is powerful during the mission.

This game scenario was developed by "World Editor"of Warcraft III:Reign of Chaos, and it was updated upon the release of the Frozen Throne.The current anonymous developer of this game known as "Ice Frog",developing this game since 2005.

In this team play battle, the two opposing team fight each other the Sentinel and the Scourge.Players in the Sentinel team are based at the southwest corner of the map, and those who are Scourge team are based on the northeast corner of the map.Each base is defended by towers and waves of units which guard the main paths leading to their base. In the center of each base is the "Ancient", a building that must be destroyed to win the game.

Each one of the human player controls one Hero, a powerful unit with unique abilities, In this game each player choose one hero in the 104 heroes in the tavern, each with different abilities and tactical advantages over other heroes. In this game it allows five-on-five game or as we say team play and and an additional two slots for referees or observers, often with an equal number of players on each side.This is a team-oriented game, it is hard for one player to carry the team to victory alone.

Because this game play revolves around strengthening individual heroes,  it does not require one to focus on resource management and base-building, unlike most traditional real-time strategy games. Killing neutral creeps or as we say killing-computer controlled units they gain experience points.hen enough experience is accumulated, the player gains a level. Leveling up improves the hero's toughness and the damage it can inflict, and allows players to upgrade their spells or skills. In addition to accumulating experience, players also manage a single resource: gold.This is a combat-oriented money a technique or tactic called "last-hitting",which is when the player attacks a hostile unit when "its hit points are low enough to kill it with one blow". Using gold,players buy items to strengthen their hero and gain abilities;certain items can be combined with recipes to create more powerful items. Buying items will make your hero more powerful and like a killing machine. Item choice also affects play style, as any given item may increase one statistic (for example, attack per minute) while leaving another (damage per attack) unchanged.

Warcraft III is the third title in the Warcraft series of real-time strategy games developed by Blizzard Entertainment. As with Warcraft II, Blizzard included a free "world editor" in the game that allows players to create custom scenarios or "maps" for the game, which can be played online with other players through Battle.net.These custom scenarios can be simple terrain changes, which play like normal Warcraft games, or they can be entirely new game scenarios with custom objectives, units, items, and events, like Defense of the Ancients.

The first version of Defense of the Ancients was released in 2003 by a mapmaker under the alias of Eul who based the map on a previous Starcraft scenario known as "Aeon of Strife".After the release of Warcraft's expansion The Frozen Throne, which added new features to the World Editor, Eul did not update the scenario. Other mapmakers produced spin offs that added new heroes, items, and features.

Because Warcraft III custom games have none of the features designed to improve game quality (matchmaking players based on connection speed, etc.), various programs are used to maintainDefense of the Ancients. External tools ping player's locations, and games can be named to exclude geographic regions.Clans and committees such as TDA maintain their own official list of rules and regulations, and players can be kicked from matches by being placed on "banlists".

The popularity of Defense of the Ancients has increased over time. The scenario was featured by Computer Gaming World in a review of new maps and mods in Warcraft III. Dota All stars became an important tournament scenario, starting with its prominence at the debut of Blizzard's BlizzCon convention in 2005. DotA Allstars was also featured in the Malaysia and Singapore World Cyber Games starting in 2005, and the World Cyber Games Asian Championships beginning with the 2006 season. Defense of the Ancients was included in the game lineup for the internationally recognized Cyberathlete Amateur League and CyberEvolution leagues.Additionally, the scenario appeared in Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) 2008; Oliver Paradis, ESWC's competition manager, noted that the high level of community support behind the scenario, as well as its worldwide appeal, were among the reasons it was chosen.

Defense of the Ancients has been credited as one of the influences for the 2009 Gas Powered Games title Demigod, with the video game publication GameSpy noting the game's premise revolved around aspiring gods "[playing] DotA in real life". Guinsoo went on to apply many of the mechanics and lessons he learned from Defense of the Ancients to the Riot Games title League of Legends. Other "DotA clones" include S2 Games' Heroes of Newerth.Blizzard Entertainment is also developing a free mod for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm entitled Blizzard DOTA, featuring an array of heroes from Blizzard's franchises.
